An Automated Strategy for Managing Root Access via SysNav

I published an article this morning on sysnav.com, about managing root access with SysNav. The article describes an alternate strategy to sudo. I take the public key SSH infrastructure concept and apply it to root logins. Comments are welcome.

Cfengine -- The Road Ahead

I forget to update my blog with this entry. A few weeks ago I delivered on the long overdue interview with Mark Burgess. It all started in a conversation in the #cfengine channel on IRC with some of the regulars. We had a lot of questions about where cfengine was headed. I have great interest in this as well considering the product, SysNav I develop leverages Cfengine. I said I would do an interview and put it in cfwiki.org. Mark agreed to do the interview and we scheduled to do it at LISA '04. We both decided to push it out to a later date, since we both were busy with the conference. After several emails back and forth I released it a few weeks ago.
